The Foundation supports the Los Angeles County Department of Animal Care & Control through fundraising for spay-and-neuter programs, pet adoptions, public education and animal welfare.

Serving with my fellow board members: Joan Ouderkirk, Phyllis Sullivan, Laurene Weste, Phyllis M. Daugherty, Thomas L. Gibson,DVM , Abby Douglass, Chris Laib and Maureen Oster has been a tremendous honor and privilege that has proven to be a highlight of my career in animal welfare. The collective knowledge, experience and background of these dedicated and caring individuals has enabled the Foundation to meet or exceed its yearly goals, objectives and dreams.

It is inspiring to see departmental employees and local humane and law-enforcement organizations doing so much to protect and serve animals in our communities. Animal-rescue programs and successful prosecutions of cruelty cases continue to be the key to animal-protection.

The Animal Care Foundation has a committed goal to improve shelter conditions for homeless animals and to educate staff and the general public about responsible pet care and ownership. Through our combined efforts in programs like "Faithful Friends", "Noah’s Legacy" and "Dreams Come True", we provide direction and financial support to the six shelters and the thousands of animals they serve.

Continued donations and public support are essential to our growth and continued humane efforts. Please consider helping the Foundation.

Your donation will help us spay or neuter all adopted pets, provide special care items for the animals our shelters, and provide funding for programs to reunite animals which have become lost or may become displaced during disasters. You will also help us provide special care for animals with serious medical conditions.
