Spay & Neuter

• Thanks to a grant from PetSmart Charities, we will be able to increase the number of pets sterilized throughout the County, concentrating on services to low-income communities.
• Continued funding for pre-release sterilization of all animals adopted from County shelters.

Shelter Facility Repair & Enhancement

• Providing needed enhancements to the appearance and functions of every Los Angeles County animal shelter to increase the comfort and environment of the animals in our care and promote more adoptions into new loving homes.

Microchipping: Dogs, Cats & Horses

• Support the countywide ordinance that requires dogs to be microchipped and sterilized by providing educational programs for the public and more accessible and affordable opportunities to obtain this life-saving permanent ID for their pets.
• Microchip horses in County fire-prone areas so that they can be reunited with owners in the event of natural disasters.
