The Foundation supports the Los Angeles County Department of Animal Care & Control through fundraising for spay-and-neuter programs, pet adoptions, public education and animal welfare.
 
 

Abby Douglass

Abby Douglass has an extensive professional background in international event planning and management. She is also a volunteer administrator of IMPS (Internet Miniature Pinscher Service), a national breed-specific dog rescue and adoption partner of LACDACC. IMPS has adopted out over 9,000 Min Pins over the past 8 years.

Abby has a BA in Communications from Cal State University, Dominguez Hills. Following employment with an international Public Relations firm, and before taking early retirement in April '06, she had a 15 year career in international event planning, logistics and management. Abby has organized and managed major conferences and trade events in France, Japan, Singapore and Russia. She now is following her dream of working as an interior decorator and enjoys working with her many clients.

Abby and her husband John recently moved from the Palos Verdes area to a farm in West Paso Robles where they live with their rescue Min Pin, Natasha & German Shepherd Rowdy. Abby has an intense love of animals and is dedicated to educating the public on animal welfare and improving the lives of homeless and abandoned pets through rescue and adoption.
